After the jungle trip, we’re heading to Lake toba. The lake is about 100 kilometers long, 30 kilometers wide, and goes 505 meters (1,666 ft) deep. It is located in the middle of the northern part of Sumatra, with a surface elevation of about 900 meters (2,953 ft), the lake stretches from 2.88°N 98.52°E to 2.35°N 99.1°E. It is the largest lake in Indonesia and also the largest volcanic lake in the world.While staying at the lake we will tell you all about the Batak culture. The Batak, being the local tribe around lake Toba.

ITINERARY.

Day 1 :

Pick up from Medan hotel/airport. Drive four hours to Bukit Lawang by AC car. Once arrived rest of the day is free for leisure. If you have time you could go to the Bat cave or you can do village tour by Tuk-tuk.

Day 2 :

Our expert guide will pickup you at the hotel wher you stay, and jungle trekking will start after you finish breakfast at 9am. You will receive a small briefing before entering the jungle. Our expert guide will explain you all about the flora and fauna. After trekking for 4 hours we have for lunch. On the menu is fried rice with egg and chicken and we have the tropical fresh fruits for the desserts like pineapple, watermelon, banana, orange and passion fruit. After lunch, we continue our jungle expedition watching the sumatran orangutan( pongo abelii ) and other animals while heading to the campsite. Upon arrival at the campsite you can go to the river for a swim or relax while enjoying tea or coffee. After dinner you can playing cards or make campfire with the team. If the weather is good we can go fishing in the river. We spent the night in the jungle, an amazing experience.


Day 3:

After breakfast we explore the area around the campsite for 2-3 hours. Or if you prefer you can stay at the riverside to observe the wildlife. There’s also a nice waterfall we can visit. We will have noodle soup and fruit salad jungle style for lunch. After our lunch we will raft back to the hotel by the traditional tube rafting. Rest of the day free for leisure.

Day 4 :

After breakfast around 8am, we set off to Lake Toba via Siantar. A journey of about 8 hours depending on the traffic. At Lake Toba, we take the ferry to Samosir Island. At Samosir island we will be staying in Tuk-Tuk, accommodation ( Samosir Cottage, Tabo cottage, Carolina ).

Day 5 :

After breakfast, we will explore the island. Visit Simanindo for the Batak traditional dance performance and visit the Batak Museum. Afterwards we will

visit Buhit to see how the traditional Batak sarongs are made. We will also visit to the King Residence in Ambarita, before we return to the hotel.

Day 6 :

After breakfast we will drive back to Medan. A journey of 6 hours. Drop off at the airport or your hotel inn Medan.
