Four Days-Trhee Night (Orangutan & Berastagi Tours)

After the jungle trip, we’re heading to Berastagi. Berastagi (Dutch: Brastagi), meaning “rice store”, is a town and district of Karo Regency situated on a crossroads on the main route linking the Karo highlands of Northern Sumatra to the coastal city of Medan. Berastagi town is located around 66 kilometers (41 miles) south of Medan and about 1,300 meters (4300 feet) above sea level. The village rose to significance when Dutch settlers in Sumatra opened a boarding school there in the 1920s. The main economic activities in Berastagi, centre on the colourful fruit and vegetable market and on tourism. Berastagi is famous for its passion fruit. The main attractions of the town are the two active volcanoes; Mount Sibayak, with its hot springs, and Mount Sinabung.
ITINERARY
DAY 1:
Pickup you at Medan hotel/airport by private air-con car, journey 4-5 hours to Bukit lawang (Hotel). If you have time you could visit the Bat cave, village tour by Tuk-tuk or just relax and swim in the river.
Day 2:
After breakfast at 9am, our expert guide will pick up you at the hotel and start for 2D/1N jungle trek. You will receive a small briefing before entering the jungle, spotting wildlife for 5-6 hours to observe the Orangutans and other animals and you could see how they live in their natural habitat. Our expert guide will explain you about flora and fauna. On the way you will have break for lunch (fried rice with egg and chicken) and tropical fresh fruits for the desserts. After lunch finish continue walk to search the Orangutans or other animals, mid afternoon we will reach at the campsite. Upon arrival at the campsite you can go to the river for a swim or relax while enjoying tea or coffee, the guide will will prepare for the dinner. After dinner you can playing cards or make campfire with the team. If the weather is good we can go fishing in the river. We spent the night in the jungle, an amazing experience.
Day 3:
In the morning when you get up, our team will serve you tea or cofee and biscuits, after you will have toast+egg+cheese+cucumber+tomatoes and we have fruits salads jungle style for the desserts, if you lucky you will see the Orangutans, monkeys and monitor lizard around the campsite. After finish breakfast we packup our stuff and get ready and have fun to go back by traditional tube rafting to the village.
When we arrived you can change you dry clothes and packup all your stuff, journey 5-6 hours to Berastagi (Hotel), once arrived rest of the day is free for leisure.
Day 4:
After breakfast at 8am (or if you want we can start in the morning earlier at 4am to see the Sunrise) we will drop you with car to start point for climb Sibayak Volcano and we will use local guide from here, afterward we go to hot spring, visit fruits market at the town, visit batak karo house at Peceren, Lumbini natural park, and drive to visit Sipiso piso water fall (Sipiso piso is a plunge waterfall in the Batak highlands of Sumatra, Indonesia. It is formed by a small underground river of the Karo plateau that hurls itself from a cave in the side of the lake Toba caldera some 120 meters (360 feet) down to lake level).
